How do you tell a stubborn woman that you made a promise to her late husband to make sure she was protected? How do you tell her that she is beautiful? How do you tell her that you will help her get pregnant and that you will do it your way not with a turkey baster? How do you tell her that you are falling in love with her?
They both struggle with their guilt ....they both miss her late husband / his business partner and friend. How does one tell the other that he made a promise to his friend to make sure she was taken care of without offending her and making her exteremely mad? Let's just say very carefully! Maddie has one goal in mind....she wants to be a mother and regrets the fact that before her husband started chemo and radiation that they didn't think to freeze his sperm. Yes I said FREEZE HIS SPERM! I will scream that! She has a plan all safely researched and decided on including the donor.....until Jack throws a wrench in her plans when he sees the letter tucked behind the phone. He does not see it all so he does not know what it completely says ....but he sees enough to get the idea and wondered why it was out in the open like it was. Maddie was so maticoulous in putting her client files away. Jack itched to take it out and read it the rest of the way but gets caught lost in thought.
Maddie has to weigh the options of haivng a baby with Jack being the donor especially when she gets more bad news...... but can she handle it? Can they convince the Judge that their marriage isn't a shame?
